With your ADT System you receive Five Channels of Protection. Each of these channels provide vital Security Service for your Family.
1) Burglary
2) Police Emergency
3) The Threat of Fire
4) Medical Emergency
5) Ambush/ Hostage
Channel #1 (Burglary)
 The first channel of protection is the Burglary channel This is the Touch Pad, which we will place next to the door you use most often. Now, operating your new Security System is even easier than operating your telephone.
When you get ready to leave you simply press in your four-digit master code that only you know. The main entry door will be set on a (30) second delay. This means that when you ARM your system you will enter your four digit master code and all of your system will be activated instantly except for the main entry door. This door will simply join into the system (30) seconds later. You ARM your system, walk out and lock the door. (30) Seconds later before you back out of the driveway the main entry door has joined into your system.
To ARM simply press in your four-digit master code (1-2-3-4) and then press the (AWAY) button. The GREEN light changes to RED and you may now leave the house. When you return and open the door your new ADT System will greet you with friendly chirping sound. What your system is saying is "Hi, everything is fine. There have been no problems, please come and turn me off." Then you simply press in your Four digit master code and press the (OFF) button.
When you go to bed at night, press in your four digit master code and then press the (STAY) button. This will turn your system on except the motion detector. This allows you to get up in the middle of the night without setting off the system. If an intruder attempts to break in during the night the system will activate, the siren will sound and immediately transmit the vital information to the Command Center . Usually in less that (1) one minute. We will know who you are, where you live, what door has been violated, and dispatch the police.
We tell them exactly where the problem is so when the police arrive they will go directly to the point of entry. This is a very intelligent system.

Channel #2 (24 hr. Police Emergency)
 The second channel of protection is the 24-hour Police Emergency channel. If you ever get up in the middle of the night and go to the kitchen to get something to drink and you look out the window and see someone in the back yard, will you wait for them to break-in to set off your system? No! you simply go to your Touch Pad and press the (Star) key and the Pound (#) key and hold them down for 2 seconds. This will automatically activate Police Emergency channel The system will immediately transmit the vital information to the Command Center . We will immediately dispatch the Police and tell them that you have manually activated the system and need emergency assistance. One of the great features of this system is that the Police Emergency Channel is on the entire time even when the system is turned off.

Channel 3 (The threat of Fire)
 The third Channel of protection is for the threat of Fire. It is a known fact that in a residential fire you have less than 3 minutes to get out of the home before a death occurs. Based on this fact this is probably one of the most important issues we will discuss today. If you have smoke detectors in the hallways next to the bedroom doors; I commend you for taking that important step in protecting your family, but we can do more! By the time the smoke detector goes off the house is already filled with smoke. You and your children may be dizzy and disoriented from the noxious flumes. The last thing you want to do is get on the phone with 911.
They perform a great service for people who don't have professionally monitored security systems, but you have seen on TV how they keep the people on the phone and want to play 20 questions... remember you only have 3 minutes to get out of the house!
With your new ADT Security System with the added fire protection the system would have immediately detected the smoke alerting you as well as immediately sending the fire signal to the Command Center . We immediately dispatch the fire department and they will meet you on the front lawn with you and the children.

Channel 4 (24-hr. Medical)
 The Fourth Channel of protection is the 24 hour Medical Channel, with small children the threat of a medical crisis is always around. It may be a severe bicycle accident in the front driveway. Or maybe your in the kitchen and you turn your back for a second and one of the children reaches up and grabs the handle of the frying pan spilling hot grease. Once again you do not want to be on the phone playing 20 questions with a 911 operator.
You need those valuable seconds to administer the necessary first aid. With your new Security System you simply press the 2 buttons marked Medical and time system immediately transmits the Vital information to the Command Center . Within seconds an ambulance is on its way. We also keep stored in your file the name and phone number of your family doctor, what hospital emergency room you want to be taken to, any allergies anyone in the family may have, the names of any medications that anyone may be taking on a continuing basis, and any rare blood type that anyone in the family may have. If you think about it, it is probably a good idea if someone outside the family nucleus have this vital medical information.

Channel 5 (Ambush / Hostage)
 Thee fifth channel of protection is the Ambush / Hostage Channel. It is unfortunate but today the easiest way to defeat a home security system is to force you, the homeowner to turn it off! If you pulled into the driveway one night and walked up to the front door with keys in hand and someone appeared out of nowhere and pointed a weapon at you, forced you into the home and said "Turn your alarm off", What would you do? You would turn the system off and cooperate with their every command; this is no time to be a hero. When you turn the system off it is useless, it no longer exists!
At ADT we realize that this is a real world and that situations like this do occur every day all across America . So, we have devised a way to protect your family from this type of home invasion. If this situation ever arises here is what you do, (We don't want to give this information away on the Internet for the world to see, so this part has been skipped) - When you press in the ambush code, your system transmits a "silent" Ambush signal to the Command Center . We contact the police immediately and tell them we have a verified "211" in progress. This is the highest priority code any law enforcement agency can receive. They will dispatch all available units! If it is at night they will arrive in a matter of minutes with no sirens, no flashing lights!
